Doug grew up in Penticton and graduated from Pen-Hi after a full schedule of classes, sports and clubs. He then went to UBC where here earned a science degree in geophysics.
After graduation Doug spent a year travelling and working his way around Europe and North Africa before beginning his career in resource exploration.
Over the next 25 years Doug lived briefly in Thunder Bay and Yellowknife, and primarily in Calgary while working as an international resource exploration geophysicist in Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. He has worked and traveled in more than thirty countries including the breadth of Canada to the Arctic Islands.
Doug and Irene have been business owners and residential landlords over the years and in 2007 the Eatons returned to Penticton and he earned his Property Management license and began working with residential tenancies in the Penticton area.
Besides their son and daughter, Doug and Irene have four grandchildren.
Doug has been active with Penticton and Wine Country Chamber of Commerce having served as a Director and on the Executive Committee for several terms. Other volunteer work includes member of Board of Directors for Penticton and District Society for Community Living (4 years), strata council member, a 100+ unit blood donor, plus several professional and social committees over the years.
Doug is a full-time Property Manager utilizing his excellent communication skills to develop and maintain strong relationships with the owner/investors he represents. His goal is to maximize the profitability of each rental dwelling he manages.
